This website has been created to provide information about the murder of the human rights defender Munir Said Thalib. It includes a number of useful documents and weblinks about the case.

The main objective of this website is to encourage support for the European Parliament's written declaration about the Munir case.

We are pleased to announce that a majority of Members of the European Parliament signed the Written Declaration on the murder of the human rights defender Munir Said Thalib before the deadline on Thursday 13 February 2008.

The Written Declaration and the names of the signatories will now be forwarded to the Council, the Commission, the parliaments and governments of the Member States, the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Speakers of the two chambers of the Indonesian Parliament.

On 17 March 2008, the Executive Director of The Committee of Action and Solidarity for Munir (KASUM), Usman Hamid, issued a statement about the adoption of the Written Declaration.
