Who we are

EEPA

Founded in 2003, Europe External Policy Advisors (EEPA) is a Brussels-based centre of expertise on the EU's external policies. EEPA works on a wide variety of subjects relating to the EU's external policies, including legal frameworks, the annual budget and programming.

It also works on specific policy areas such as children¹s rights, gender equality and HIV/AIDS. EEPA conducts lobbying and advocacy, does research and analysis, organises conferences and works on information dissemination, curriculum development and web design and content management.

Mirjam van Reisen

Prof Mirjam van Reisen, PhD, is the founder of Europe External Policy Advisors (EEPA) , a research and advice centre on European Union external policy, based in Brussels. She has 20 years experience of working both in and alongside the EC Institutions. In October 2010, Prof van Reisen was appointed for the Endowed Chair in honour of Marga Klompé on International Social Responsibility at Tilburg University, School of Humanities. Since 2007 she has been an elected member of the International Coordinating Committee of Social Watch and Member of the Social Watch Management Committee. Mirjam van Reisen is the author of the books "Window of Opportunity, EU development cooperation after the end of the Cold War" (Africa World Press) and "EU Global Player" (International books).

Conference

Europe External Policy Advisors (EEPA) in partnership with civil society leaders from the Horn of Africa and the Italian Institute for Political Science organized a two-day conference on EU and US policy on Eritrea and the Horn of Africa. The Conference, held in Brussels on 9th and 10th November 2009, was attended by high-ranking officials and academics from Europe, the European Union, the United States, the Horn countries, Eritrean political leaders in diaspora, human rights activists and civil society leaders from across the Horn of Africa.
