The Council will hold an exchange of views on the possible introduction in the EU of a levy on
banks, as well as a tax on financial transactions.
It will also take stock of changes in implementation of the stability and growth pact in order to allow
for the establishment as from 2011 of a "European semester", during which the budgetary and
structural policies of the member states would be monitored.
