SAAPE condemns General Parvez Musharraf's unconstitutional action in Pakistan

Kathmandu, 05/11/07: The South Asia Alliance for Poverty Eradication (SAAPE) has issued a statement in which it strongly condemns the unconstitutional and autocratic move by Pakistan’s military dictator General Parvez Musharraf.
In addition to condemning Musharraf's recent actions, the SAAPE statement also includes demands for the restoration of democracy, freedom of the press and the protection of the fundamental human rights, including civil and political rights, of the people of Pakistan.
