Multilateral muscle needed for Doha deal

Brussels, 10 January 2007: On 3 January, the Financial Times published an article highlighting the fact that multilateral trade deals are being replaced by regional and bilateral trade deals. The US has for years been pursuing bilateral and regional trade deals and the European Union is now following with its current negotiations with India and the ASEAN countries and Korea.
