On Thursday 19 November 2009, a draft UN Security Council resolution was issued, which calls for an arms embargo against Eritrea and travel bans and asset freezes for members of its government and military for aiding Islamist insurgents in Somalia. UN diplomats say the draft was issued by temporary Security Council Member Uganda and has been circulated amongst the other members of the Security Council.
