Research and monitoring Print E-mail

One of EEPA's principal areas of work is in the field of research and monitoring. We carry out research on a wide range of topics concerning EU development cooperation including; EU law, budget and aid effectiveness, trade, human rights, gender, health, education and the Millennium Development Goals. On behalf of our clients we also monitor EU activities and EU institutions with regard to specific development related issues. We have been commissioned to conduct research and produce reports and briefing papers for numerous clients including Action for Global Health, Alliance2015, the European Parliament, Oxfam Novib, Oxfam Intermón and UNIFEM.

As part of our research activities, EEPA designed the 2015-Watch methodology for Alliance2015, a partnership of development NGOs for whom we produce the annual 2015Watch reports on the EU's contribution to achieving the Millennium Development Goals. The 2015-Watch methodology is unique in that it provides an instrument for measuring donor countries' progress over time, for comparing the achievements of different donors, and for assessing their performance in particular sectors.
