Brussels, 30 May 2006: Yesterday the European Parliament’s Committee on Budgets hosted a hearing on external aspects of the 2007 budget procedure.In order to discuss trade and development issues the EP had invited David O’Sullivan, Dir. General, DG Trade; Athanissios Theodorakis, Deputy Dir. General, DG Development; Ashraf Ghani, Chancellor of Kabul University and Mirjam van Reisen, Director for Europe External Policy Advisers (EEPA) to share their expertise and view on the subject. The second part of the hearing was dedicated to discuss external relations and CFSP issues with the European Commissioner for External Relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner as one of the speakers.
