EC pledges € 400 million to the Global Fund for 2007-2010 (31 May 2007)

Brussels, 31/05/07, (EC): President Barroso has announced that the European Commission will contribute € 400 million to the fight against HIV/AIDS over the next three years.

According to a press statement, the Commission will contribute € 100 million to the Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria in 2007. A further € 300 million will be contributed over the following three years.
