European Parliament resolution on the human rights situation of the Dalits in India

Brussels, 02/02/07: The European Parliament has adopted a resolution on the human rights situation of the Dalits in India.

During their mini-plenary meeting in Brussels on 1 February 2007, MEPs adopted the resolution which had been tabled by the Committee on Development.

The motion for a resolution was tabled as a follow up to the Committee on Development's hearing on the issue of the Dalits in India on 18 December 2006.
