Hearing on Eritrea in European Parliament

Brussels, 27/06/08: On 1 July 2008, Glenys Kinnock MEP will host a meeting in the European Parliament on the human rights situation in Eritrea.

The aim of this parliamentary briefing is to facilitate a joint reflection of the Eritrean diaspora, represented by a delegates from South Africa, the United States and Europe, and MEPs on a possible way forward for Eritrea.

In addition, the briefing aims to assess ways in which the European Parliament can provide support for improving the human rights situation in Eritrea.

The meeting will be held from 15.00 – 16.00 in room A3H1.
