The 22nd session of the joint African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP)-European Union (EU) parliamentary assembly officially opened on Monday in Lome.
ACP-EU parliamentarians will exchange views on issues directly affecting the populations, namely the food crisis in the Horn of Africa, the integration of handicapped people in developing countries and access to medicines.
In addition to these questions, parliamentarians would also discuss the index of the debt on financing in ACP countries, democratic governance, development of multilateral relations and and international justice and urban development challenges in the cities of ACP countries.
A conference devoted to 'The consequences of the Arab Spring on neighouring Sub-Saharan states' will also be organized on the sidelines.
