Development Policy Manifesto for the German EU Presidency 2007

Brussels, 10/01/07: Germany has just entered its EU Council Presidency and in June Germany is organising the G8 Summit. This provides opportunities for Germany to play an active role in developing the international agenda. African and German civil society organisations have launched a joint manifesto to accompany the official presidency policy. The focus is on the following issues: trade justice, human security, change in energy policies, climate change, HIV/AIDS, gender and the role of civil society.
