"Zimbabwe: Women's voices"
Mrs Judith Sargentini MEP and Europe External Policy Advisors (EEPA) are organising a hearing at the European Parliament on the involvement of women in the process of reconciliation and healing in Zimbabwe. The hearing is a preparatory meeting in the process leading up to the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of UNSCR 1325, which will take place in November of this year.
A high level panel consisting of key political and institutional actors is expected:
- The Honourable Sekai Holland (Co-Minister of national Healing & Reconciliation)
- Senator Sabine de Bethune (Belgium's Federal Parliament)
- Betty Makoni (Girl Child Network Worldwide)
- Daniel Rezene Mekonnen (Expert Transitional Justice)
- Grace Kwinjeh (journalist)
